John Edwards Coming to Town!!

Many of you know that I have endorsed John Edwards for President.  I write for a great blog called Momocrats.  Check it out!  It has been a tough race, but it is NOT over.  I'm not ready to throw in the  towel and am glad my candidate isn't either.
He is coming to my home town. If you live in the Bay Area, please check out this FREE event!  I'll be there with some of my fellow Momocrats!

The event will be free and open to the public -- I hope you, your family and friends will join us. I know many of you are undecided, so come out and hear for yourself why I think he is the one who can unite our country with the kind of leadership we have been missing for so long.

John is coming to northern California because he understands how important a strong showing in California on February 5 will be as we head to the Democratic Convention and the nomination.

New Year's Resolution - done!

One of my resolutions this year has been to teach the kids to ski - okay the minimum was to actually take them to the snow and if conditions were right teach them to ski.

Well thanks to some killer storms, Lake Tahoe has plenty of snow! Gorgeous snow, the kind we haven't seen in these parts for a while. This past weekend, we packed up our car and headed out. We went sledding, had a snow ball fight and signed the kids up for lessons. Wow, those were expensive!

Caden, my eldest, picked it up quickly and ended day 2 by hitting the intermediate runs and a smidgen of a black diamond(advanced). Wow! He thinks he can take me down in a race- good luck! I think I am safe this season, but next season -well, he might be right.

The Ballerina Princess also did well - a vision in pink for sure! Unfortunately for her, she had a little accident - the body fluid kind. During her afternoon lesson, she didn't quite make it to the bathroom. Poor baby, maybe it was so cold, that she didn't recognize she had to go or someone didn't ask her if she neeedy to pooty before they left. All I know is when I came to pick her up, she was very excited to not have to ski anymore:) As she ran up to me all soaking, she asked, "Can we go to the pool at the hotel? I need to melt in the Jack Uzzi!"

One New Year's resolution done! Now onto organizing that closet...

Wordless Wednesday:Christmas in California

Home sweet home

We do this every year for Christmas - we pack our car and kids and make the tek from the Bay Area to Los Angeles to see the grandparents to celebrate the holiday.  Two days later we pack it all up again and go to Las Vegas to celebrate some more with more family.  Two days later we pack it all up again head back to LA and then back to the Bay Area.  Every year we say, never again, but we do ita anyway.  The kids love seeing their cousins and I love quality time with my sister and cousins. I couldn't give it up our annual trek - though flying or getting a Prius is certainly in our future.   But there is nothing like coming home and sleeping in my bed.  Aaah! 

It is funny after living in the Bay Area for more than a decade, it has finally sunk in this year that the Bay Area is home now.  I love it here and as much as I fantasize about living in Newport beach, I love Northern California.  Boy, am I slow.
