This video highlights exactly what so many folks think, "Um blogging, hmmm you may be up to something..." Time to come into the light people!
I had the privilege of attending the MOM 2.0 Summit this weekend. It was full of interesting speakers and fun attendees with whom I coulda just chatted with for days. It was well worth the money. Kudos ladies for putting on a great party with a tone that was just perfect for fun and getting business done! I learned a lot and am now trying to figure out how I can squeeze another 3 hours a day in to actually implement all these brilliant ideas. I'm down for next year for sure.
Key take aways from the Mom 2.0 conference:
- More and more companies are finally getting that Moms are powerful and do MOST of the buying at home - duh!
- You can wash your clothes with fruit/seeds from Indonesia - fascinating. City Mama swears by them. (They worked like a champ! I tried them last night.)
- Fun to talk up close and personal with PR folks and corporations. We all have loads to learn. I especially liked the small group discussions, where you could spend quality time talking pros and cons of PR and blogger pitches.
- You should call other people on their shiitake often - per Guy Kawasaki.
- That it IS possible to take the conversations you have with your blogger friends in the hall ways of BlogHer or online CAN be transformed into a panel presentation. IRL bloggers really kick ass!
- Fellow bloggers are open to sharing their knowledge and brilliance freely. Someone taught me how to update my tweetdeck, figure out a new SEO strategy and offered me a free membership to Weight Watchers! All things I desperately needed! Yes, the universe does provide:)
- The Four Seasons lived up to what I thought they would be -staff and service was impeccable. Plush pool and fancy gym - not that I partook in either of those activities - but I saw lots of people doing both.
- YANNI! enuf said.

Sounds like a great conference. I'm going to have to check out those SoapNuts!
