Summer isn't quite the same without a trip to San Jose Family Camp, where the cooking is done for you and all I worry about is what to bring for happy hour. Just outside of Yosemite, the camp has everything you need for a stress free low cost vacation. The kids and I played shuffle board, tried our hands at archery, hiked and spent most of the time floating on the creek.
Highlights this year:
- Organic bug spray- stinks! I need the deet filled stuff.
- Pomagranate margaritas always hit the spot.
- Must buy bigger inner-tubes for floating down the river- bruises on buttocks not pretty
- Finish all work before you go- looking for WIFI sucks.
- One adult with five kids and two fishing rods - not a good idea.
- Fun to go with families with younger kids, reminded me of just how much mine have grown-sigh.

I've never been to Yosemite and I'm a Cali native. Will definitely look into this camp.

I was in Yosemite years ago but had never heard of this camp. Great concept - definitely worth passing along...especially the "highlights".
